After a longer development phase, Benno MailArchiv 2.0 is on the threshold. The entire team is proud to announce that the first BETA version of Benno MailArchiv 2.0 is now available!

The most significant innovations of “Benno2” are the new “Benno Mail Archive WebApp”, which offers significantly more user comfort through new functions and possibilities. For example, it is now possible to sort search results according to various criteria. The new WebApp replaces the old, rather inflexible Web-GUI and is not only newly developed, but is based on modern web standards, including Ajax & Co, which significantly increases user comfort and makes new functions easier to use than before.

Benno Mail Archive 2.0 also offers many possibilities for a sophisticated division or flexible data organization of the archive and, in addition, complete and consistent multi-tenancy capability. Benno Mail Archive is thus unrestrictedly fit for use in the areas of hosting and cloud computing.

The backend of our new version is already almost 'production stable', while the frontend (i.e. the new web app as well as the search and research logic of Benno MailArchiv) is now undergoing intensive beta testing.

What are the next milestones?

The results and findings from the BETA1 phase will be fed directly back into development, so that in mid-April BETA2 will be completed. This will be subjected to extensive and broad-based testing with selected partners. In addition, the first pilot installations will take place with selected pilot customers.

The release of the final release of 'Benno2' is expected to take place in May 2012.

You will be informed about all further and new details here in the Benno MailArchiv Blog in a timely manner.
