With the release of version 2.2.7, we are changing the Benno MailArchiv release cycle so that new releases will appear every 6-8 weeks in the future. The versions following the current release 2.2.7 will contain smaller functional enhancements and/or bug fixes. New functions and any error corrections will thus be available more quickly than before.

In the coming releases, we will pick up and implement the following new features:

  • Detailed improvements in WebApp 2
  • OCR recognition of scanned documents or faxes
  • Mark hits in the result list with tags (keywords or markers) and group them thematically (tagging of emails).

The tagging of emails is a much-requested feature. After considering the implementation of this function in the past, it is now the next major highlight in the current release planning. The exact release date of this feature has not been determined yet.
