LWsystems has released Benno MailArchiv version 2.2.0 BETA today.

The BETA of the new Benno MailArchiv version is available for download and testing immediately.

The 2.2.0 BETA is available for the following platforms:

  • Debian GNU/Linux from wheezy onwards
  • Ubuntu (correspondingly)

The versions for Univention Corporate Server (UCS) etc. will be released with the final release of version 2.2.0.

    • New function “Conversation search” for simultaneous searching of all emails between two communication partners (To/From and simultaneously From/To)
    • Multi-language support – new languages can be added simply by exchanging language files. Currently available languages:
      • German
      • English
      • Italian
      • Westphalian Low German

  • Reindexing of already archived emails possible
    • Already archived emails can now be re-indexed at any time (e.g. useful for subsequently indexing archived attachments in full text if they could not be indexed or only incompletely indexed before)

Furthermore, the BETA of version 2.2.0 includes various bug fixes (more details will follow in the release notes for the final release of version 2.2.0).

The BETA version of the new Benno MailArchiv release is suitable for productive use! Due to the switch to Java 7 (Java 7 is mandatory from Benno MailArchiv version 2.2.0 onwards), it should be considered when upgrading that a possible emergency rollback may be a bit more complicated than with previous Benno releases.

The BETA of the future version 2.2.0 is available free of charge to all interested parties via the following apt or repository URL:
